Interested in Career Exploration and Being Part of a Guide Dog Team?

The 2nd Careers and Canine Connections event, hosted by APH ConnectCenter and Guide Dogs for the Blind, is set to take place in August 2024. This in-person gathering is designed for individuals aged 18-24 aspiring to enter the workforce as adults. The week-long residential program will immerse participants in activities centered around career exploration, informational interviews, and job preparation skills. 

Participants will also learn how to live and work with a guide dog and prepare for guide dog training. Additionally, each participant will have the opportunity to have a personalized, hands-on experience with a dog that will spend one night with them. 

Informational Webinar 

To provide more insight into the event, an upcoming webinar will feature information from past participants and program staff. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of participation and have their questions addressed by APH ConnectCenter and Guide Dogs for the Blind staff.
