Ron Brooks, CEO and founder of Accessible Avenue, LLC will join us to discuss his various careers within transportation over the past 30 years. During his career, Ron has worked on making bus, rail, paratransit, and other transportation services accessible and equitable for everyone, including people with disabilities. Additionally, Ron is the Senior Director for Policy and Stakeholder Engagement for UZURV, a Transportation Network Company adapted to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
We will begin with a discussion on how our featured professionals started out and ended up in their careers, including how confidence, determination and self-advocacy played a role throughout their successful employment journey.
The remainder of the hour-long session will provide an opportunity for Transition age students and curious job seekers to follow up with choice career-related questions through informational interviewing.
