Claire Stanley, J.D., Public Policy Analyst for the National Disability Rights Network, will speak about her work in public policy. Often, people think of having a degree in law and going to court as a lawyer. Claire uses her voice to influence public policy related to disability issues on the national level. Claire will share her journey from college into her current career working on public policy.
We will begin with a discussion on how our featured professionals started and ended up in their career, including how confidence, determination, and self-advocacy played a role to a successful employment journey.
The remainder of the hour-long session will provide an opportunity for Transition-age students and curious job seekers to follow up with choice career-related questions through informational interviewing.
