Brief Description
The Texas Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (TIMCVI) is the order processing and redistribution center for the Texas APH Federal Quota Account. The TIMCVI is located on the campus of the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and is responsible for:
processing district requests for instructional materials for students who are legally blind
warehousing instructional materials returned by districts when no longer needed by students who are legally blind.
returning broken braille writers, tape players, and other items to APH for repair
maintaining a statewide inventory of instructional materials on loan to districts for use by legally blind students managing the Texas APH Federal Quota account
