|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until May 6, 2022

WAER is excited for the second virtual Collaborative Vision Conference! You can find the registration form here. CVC 2022 will take place on Thursday, May 5th, and Friday, May 6th.

We would like to highlight the two wonderful speakers that will be presenting at our conference this year, Steve McAuliff and Jennifer Ottowitz.

Steve McAuliff ’s presentation, “Veering in Adults with Visual Impairments”, will occur on Thursday, May 5th. This presentation will discuss what causes adults to veer and what can be done to eliminate or reduce this tendency.

Jennifer Ottowitz will have two presentations, both will be held on Friday, May 6th. Jennifer’s first presentation, “Check Your Biases at the Door”, will discuss how personal preferences and biases can impact what and how you teach. This presentation will also discuss strategies to ensure you’re giving your students/clients a balanced approach with a wide range of options to best meet their needs. If you are looking for ways to increase your students’ braille reading speed and proficiency then Jennifer’s second presentation, “Level Up: Tips for Increasing Braille Reading Speed and Proficiency”, should be on your list of presentations to attend at CVC 2022.

You can find the official program for CVC 2022 attached to this email, link in the registration form, or at aerwisconsin.org.
