Vista Center welcomes you back to school this fall with our annual pumpkin decorating event. This event also features an important discussion on responding to and overcoming bullying. Students with vision loss often get singled out because they learn differently from their peers and can be excluded for being different. Bullying can lead to less engagement at school, lower academic achievement, and an overall lack of self-confidence.

Guest speakers from Allcove will provide a space for youth to find community, support, advice or even just a moment of pause.

The event will finish with a fun, tactile jack-o-lantern creation to enhance our STEM skills. Youth will use pumpkins and various hardware to create accessible and expressive jack-o-lanterns!

Families and students are invited to this interactive and immersive event. Lunch is included. Entertainment and a special guest speaker may also make an appearance!
