A 15-Week Residential Employment Readiness Program For Young Adults
who are legally blind 18 to 21 (up to 22nd birthday).

program in your chosen area of interest.

***Now Offering an Hourly Paid Work Experience Training (WET) internship.
This internship helps students gain relevant work experience through an 80-100 hour paid WET internship with local businesses, nonprofits and/or other community partners.
The WET will begin on or about week 10 at 20–25 hours per week during the Fall-Winter Program.
Must be sponsored by your state office for the blind and visually impaired. This
program may be a combination of remote/virtual and in person training based on New
York State guidelines for social distancing.
Instruction includes a weekday and weekend schedule to teach work readiness (job exploration and counseling and work based learning), orientation and mobility, assistive technology, emotional intelligence, adjustment to blindness, and self-advocacy.
VRC participants can register for an additional online certificate program.

HVAC Specialist Veterinary Assistant Web & Desktop Developer

All participants who complete the program receive a Rise-Up Customer Service Certificate from the National Retail Federation, and complete a WET internship that includes three rotations in different customer service settings, and one rotation related to any additional certificate program (if applicable).
Successful VRC participants complete the program with the tools, knowledge
and support needed to confidently enter the workforce.
