Details: Visual perceptual difficulties are common visual issues associated with CVI that are not often identified or understood.  For children with visual perceptual difficulties, it can be very hard to make sense of the world around them, which can greatly impact on all aspects of their life.  There is an urgent need for a simple and effective assessment tool to help.  The Austin Assessment has been developed to help identify children who warrant further assessment for CVI, with initial research showing that it is an effective tool for detecting visual perceptual difficulties associated with CVI.
