Guide Dogs for the Blind recognizes that the human-animal bond is unique; we want to give teens and young adults with visual impairments the opportunity to experience its life-changing potential.

Every year GDB invites youth who are blind or visually impaired to apply for our camp program.

At Camp GDB, participants will explore the companionship, independence, and responsibility of having a guide dog. Campers receive hands-on guide dog instruction with an emphasis on understanding the specific orientation and mobility skills required to be a successful guide dog handler, as well as the fitness and endurance necessary for guide dog travel.

Qualified applicants are blind or visually impaired and seriously considering the guide dog lifestyle.
