Financial Aid Night-Rescheduled

June 28 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Free

Are you planning on attending college and don’t know where to start? A great start would be with your financial aid package! This event will teach students and families how to access the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as well as some state financial aid applications. We will go over exactly what information is needed when you are ready to start the financial aid process as well as what you should be discussing with your college’s financial aid office. Our professionals will teach students what a good financial aid package looks like, how to read and understand a financial aid award letter, and also explain the differences between tuition and fees and how that pertains to students living in the dorms of their college. We will show you what questions to ask your college’s Financial Aid Office about how financial aid for college relates to students with disabilities. Did you know that some states offer additional financial aid for students with disabilities? Here is your chance to learn all about it. We will also be answering questions from students and their families. This event will have a special focus on effectively advocating for oneself in the Financial Aid Office.
