What’s the best thing about summer? Imagine you are an astronaut climbing a moon rock, an archeologist digging for bones, or maybe a wizard up high in your tree house casting spells upon those below. Join us for a fun filled week of exploration as we visit multiple unique and exciting local playgrounds, write imaginative stories inspired by play, and create tactile drawings to accompany them. Along the way, make new friends, expand your imagination, build your storytelling skills, and discover new tools for tactile illustrations! Join Holly Hody, Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), and Tamar Solomon, Speech and Language Pathologist, for a week filled with fun for all. Go home with an illustrated storybook based upon your adventures that was created by you to share with your family and friends. The following ECC areas will be addressed by this course; Recreation and Leisure, Social Interaction Skills, Assistive Technology, Compensatory Access (braille/large print) and Orientation & Mobility.
