Compass info session: Been there. Done that. Meet a team that’s completed Compass.
June 3, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
Free
The first-ever session of Compass (Perkins.org/Compass), our nine-month virtual college readiness enrichment program for blind and visually impaired high school students in grades 9 through 11, is wrapping up soon. And it was amazing!
Want to know more? Join us on Thursday, June 3, for an info session and interactive conversation with one of our Learning Triad teams: Marcello, a student from New York, along with his mom Lisa, TVI Jennifer, and Compass coach Kate Katulak.
They’ll all be ready to share their been-there-done-that experiences, take your questions about the program, and offer their unique perspectives – student, parent and educator – about why and how Compass has been working for them.
Register now at Pages.Perkins.org/CompassInfoSession.
Have a senior? For the 2021-22 session of Compass, we’ll be expanding our program to include a specific track to serve students in grade 12.
It’s a mix of highly individualized coaching and group work designed to help students identify what their next step should be, including setting realistic timelines for any additional training and skill development might be needed.
This “bootcamp”-style program will cover everything from critical blindness skills to college counseling, support with essay writing and test-taking, and effectively completing college applications.
Know a student who could benefit? We’d love to meet them – get in touch with us at CollegeSuccess@Perkins.org to learn more.
